FOR ADULTS New, popular Bollywood dance isn’t just one dance style but several. It might be cool street dance, MTV dance or beautiful classical Indian-inspired dance. Bollywood dance is the commercial name for the dancing seen in Indian films. Typical of the dance style are expressive gestures and mime, all to throbbing rhythmic music. The style began to take shape in the 1960s and 70s and incorporates influences from Indian classical dance.

Among all the beautiful dance costumes we’ll be dancing to Baa Baa Black Sheep, doing Russian ballet in the style of cats and the mazurka with Mr Gurka, just like in the Swedish children’s rhyme (he’s a cucumber). And you never know, there might even be some incy wincy spiders singing and dancing with us. Sundays September 26, October 3, 10, 2 PM
